What is this Group and where did it come from?

The Science and Religion discussion group was founded in 2017-2018 by Dr. Vukov with support from the Society of Christian Philosophers and the John Templeton Foundation as part of their  efforts to foster discussions of this sort. Dr. Burns, having an interested in this topic as well, joined the group and is now a co-organizer.

We invite students at Loyola and elsewhere as well as faculty, staff, and community members to participate in these discussions. This group has continued due to the positive responses from the participants.

Want to Join us?

The group will meet every 3-4 weeks from 6:00 - 7:30pm on Wednesday evenings to discuss reading, videos, news articles, and scientific findings on topics at the interface of science and religion. We will also hear from guest speakers on a wide variety of subjects related to the interface of science and religion.

Please contact Dr. Burns or Dr. Vukov to join the mailing list and get informed of upcoming events and background material.
